About Marco

Marco cutting HairIn the early years of his practice, Marco expanded his styling experience to photography and print by joining the professional team of stylists at Playboy Magazine. From 1980 to 1987 he owned and operated a private, full-service salon, called The Galerie, in one of San Francisco's most prominent neighborhoods. During this time he wrote and released his first book, It'll Grow Back: How to Communicate with Your hairstylist Before It's Too Late. It illustrates the importance of communicating clearly with one's hairstylist and the methods of how to do so. Marco released a revised edition of his book, It'll Grow Back: Love Your Hair, Love Yourself, Love Your Hair. It is a compilation of his years of experience and knowledge that includes several examples of his many transformations of various clients. It is an informative and entertaining account of his innate ability to help anyone become their personal best.

Other credits for Marco include AM San Francisco, a television show that invited him to do a spot for, "Hairstyle of the Month" as a regular feature of their programming. He also appeared on The Regis Philbun Show where he actually cut and styled hair for studio audiences. He was also featured on a radio show from New York to Houston giving hairstyling advice and tips. Following that, he began styling for episodic television shows, commercials, and feature films. Noted recording artists and film and television personalities are still among his vast clientèle that spans the country.

Marco has combined all his talent to develop "Personal Presentation" an exciting and highly acclaimed interactive training program for salon associates that builds vision, customer focus, teamwork, and innovation. His seminars and the training programs have been featured at world-renowned attractions such as the Canyon Ranch in Tuscon, Arizona.

Marco's expertise, personable approach, and sincere interest in the personal mission, vision, and values of his clients have been the winning combination that keeps him in demand.

Marco was just featured in the article, "Hairstylist focuses on self-confidence" printed in the Marin Scope Newspaper (Wednesday, May 5, 2010).
